Revolutionising Connectivity: Unleashing the Power of 6G for Robotics

Tuesday 9th July, 14:00 - 15:30

Rapid advancements in technology have enabled the convergence of robotics and next-generation 6G communication networks. This panel aims to explore the transformative potential of 6G in empowering robotic systems through advanced connectivity solutions. 6G represents a paradigm shift that can propel robotics into a new era of innovation, enabling breakthroughs in areas such as robotic connectivity, perception, and control. By harnessing the power of 6G, robotics can achieve secure, resilient, and sustainable development, revolutionizing industries and positively impacting society. The primary objective is to leverage smart connectivity to facilitate these advancements, unlocking the full potential of the robotic industry. To effectively meet the anticipated demand for robotic applications, mobile communication systems must meet stringent performance requirements, ensuring service availability, accurate environment awareness, dynamic Quality of Service mechanisms for safety, and enhanced sensing capabilities. The panel will feature experts from academia and industry, who will share insights on the lessons learned from 5G, the evolving landscape towards 6G, and the exciting new features that 6G will bring to robotics, particularly in vertical sectors. The goal is to foster knowledge exchange and collaboration, driving innovation and progress in the robotics field.

This panel is endorsed by one6G association (one6G.org)
